Earth Matters: Studies for Our Global Future. Grades 9-12. This spiral-bound book contains 12 student readings and 34 innovative activities to help students understand the complexities of population pressures, global climate changes, natural resource use, wildlife endangerment, distribution of wealth and food, gender equity, economic progress, and how all these issues are interrelated. Living in a Material World. Grades 8-12. Eight interactive lessons on commercialism, consumption, and the environment. The 82 page guide also includes teacher background information, student handouts, master copies of overhead transparencies and several pages of additional ideas and resources. Making Connections: Linking Population and the Environment. Grades 4-6. This teaching set includes 28 lessons on population and environmental issues from an international perspective, eight 8x11 color photos of people using resources in Africa, Asia and Latin America and a World Population Data Sheet. Multiplying People, Dividing Resources. Grades 5-10. This math activities teaching kit includes 19 activities and a World Population Data Sheet. Available from  Population Connection   ($9.95).

People and the Planet. Grades 6-10. As an interdisciplinary, environmental education and global studies guide in one, People and the Planet covers concepts and objectives central to science, social studies, math and family life education. Through hands-on (and minds-on!) activities and four readings, students explore the interconnections of human population growth, natural resource use, solid waste management, biodiversity, social justice, and community well-being. Standards-Based-Units. VEI has prepared seven Standards-Based-Units (SBU's) on population dynamics and human impact on the environment. Each SBU is tied to a Population Reference Bureau or Population Connection's  curriculum. All are two to three week units linking these pre-existing curricula to Vermont's Standards. They do not stand alone; they rely on the curricula.
