Eco-parties are a non-threatening opportunity for interested friends and neighbors to gather and consider their energy and water use, toxins in their homes, and ways to reduce waste. The parties feature a checklist of consumer choices, facilitated discussion, fact sheets plus refreshments. We think of them as "Tupperware Parties for the Earth." The parties are marketed in concert with the discussion courses. VEI volunteers help party hosts facilitate the discussion, but the participants supply their own questions and concerns, as well as sharing solutions to living greener at home.
